A doctor tried to call me out at the carwash for “tipping too much”
True story: I was at the carwash today and wanted to tip the gentleman washing my car a good amount. I felt good about it, happy, and proud to tip this man. I understand that money is just energy.
As I took the money out and got it ready in my hand, a man next to me looked at me puzzled and stated verbatim, “Woah. You’re making me look bad and I’M A DOCTOR. I’m only tipping $1, why are you doing this?”
I proceed “Yes I am tipping him, he actually deserves more. He works hard for his job and deserves this money.”
He then goes, “No, he doesn’t deserve that money, stop making me look bad.” LOL😳
You can only imagine how the rest of the convo went – but let’s just say he was trying to convince me out of tipping this man for the next 5 minutes.
End interaction. LOL.
It taught me SUCH an important lesson.
It doesn’t matter what you do, how much money you make, or what field you are in – if you are uptight and tight around your money, you will never feel like it’s enough.
You can be making millions a month and still feel like you’re losing out every time you spend.
This man (who is probably making 400k a year), couldn’t even fathom giving a DOLLAR as a tip.
Just imagine how many people are walking around with poor money mindsets – and how that is hurting their financial situation.
The moral of this story: You can have all the money in the world, but if you haven’t worked on your core money beliefs, you will always be in scarcity mode and fear running out.
When you feel guilty or bad for investing in yourself, you are operating out of scarcity.
Even when you do make it and make the money, you will always feel tight/scarce/uptight around your money.
When you give, you RECEIVE in turn. It’s law.
Don’t let a faulty money mindset keep you from your dreams.
That’s the reason you’re still stuck, still not taking action.
